New Home Construction Process

Pre-Construction Planning

Successful projects begin with teamwork and planning. During this process we:

  • Choose a home plan: The client's personal plan, one of our company plans, or design a plan
  • Work together as a team and bring all ideas to best meet our clients needs and budget
  • Review the client's pre purchased lot or advise our clients on land purchases for their new building.
  • If the client has not already done so, have lot surveyed
  • Check if site has public sewer and water systems or a septic system will need to be designed.
  • Discuss financing for project


Considering all options and elements of the project, we are now ready to finalize all the construction aspects. During this process we:

  • Finalize the clients building plans
  • Finalize clients budgets
  • Discuss and determine project timeline
  • Sign all contracts
  • Obtain all necessary permits
  • Preparing site (clearing and grading)
  • Create the client's To Do list


Now it is time to build. During this process we:

  • Maintain close contact with our clients (site meetings, emails, and phone conversations) to keep them informed at all times on the building project.  This will sustain the team effort.
  • Review any change orders with the client and affected contractors
  • Keep jobsite running efficiently
  • Arrange for and attend all required inspections
  • Accompany the client on a final walk-though
  • Occupancy of your new house or commercial building
